Hanifin is someone that Leafs head coach Mike Babcock advocated selecting fourth overall in 2015 instead of Mitch Marner and the Massachusetts native is close friends with Auston Matthews.

So what you are saying is Matthews is now dictating team moves, and Babcock will push around young Dubas like an Atlantic sponge bee mop to get what he wants?

This team's management is a franking disaster.

Pair him with Darrin McGavin (aka Kolchak: the Night Stalker).

That's a good second pairing.

Nicolas Mattinen
Jack Walker
Keaton Middleton
J.J. Piccinich
Nolan Vesey

I can’t say I’m bothered if any of them walk.

I know jackpoop about all of them, but I suspect if any of them are borderline, we will sign them to Marlies contracts that look better than 2-way contracts offered by other NHL teams.

4th round, 6'5" defenceman.

I actually liked this pick.

What the heck, take a chance, hope he develops.

fair point. but we just signed 4 new marlies today....

....here's some more dead weight to dump overboard this summer to make room for those new ahl deals:

Hanifin would be nice to have for the size, and Carolina can swing either way for a trade (goalie or forward) depending on what they need.

Its also a decent setup for both teams as both have young guys they can swap.

I havent watched any of their players though, so I have no clue what they're worth.

Offensive D-man isnt something the Leafs need though, so Faulk wouldn't make sense as a specific target.

sure. nothing lost if he's on a marlies or solar bears contract.

ship seems to have sailed on a 2-way nhl contract for those guys.

faulk only has one year left. a package of #25, sparks and another prospect should be close to enough for their dumbass gm to accept.

i would think they are looking for a nylander for hannifin one for one type swap. they'd be right for asking for it. i think we'd be right for saying no.
